Let’s talk honeymoons. Because, honestly, after my own back in 2022, I’m convinced a spa vacation is the way to go for almost all couples.
So, you’re planning your honeymoon right now? Congratulations! It’s supposed to be the most romantic and relaxing trip of your life. But let’s be honest, after all that wedding planning you’re doing or about to do, you need to unwind. That’s why Tim and I chose a spa vacation, and it was the best decision ever.

Why a Spa Honeymoon?
Honeymoons are about celebrating your love and starting your married life on the right foot. A spa vacation offers:
- Together time: The most important of course 🙂 At a spa you are with your partner the whole time, even though you may find different treatments to do. Many treatments can also be booked as duo packages.
- Ultimate Relaxation: After the stress of wedding planning, you deserve to be pampered.
- Quality Time: Shared spa experiences create intimate moments and lasting memories.
- Rejuvenation: Start your married life feeling refreshed and energized.
- Flexibility: You can combine spa treatments with other activities, depending on your preferences.

Our Honolulu Haven: The Kahala Hotel & Resort
Tim and I chose The Kahala Hotel & Resort in Honolulu, Oahu, and it was simply divine. We stayed for four blissful days and nights, and it was pure paradise.
- The Rooms: Our oceanfront room was spacious and luxurious, with breathtaking views. Waking up to the sound of the waves was magical.
- The Food: The dining options were incredible. From fresh seafood to gourmet cuisine, every meal was a treat. We especially loved the beachfront dining.
- The General Experience: The staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The entire resort had a serene and romantic atmosphere.
- The Surroundings: The resort is located in a secluded area, offering a peaceful escape. The private beach was perfect for romantic strolls.
- The Pool and Spa: The pool was stunning, with plenty of space to relax. And the spa? Oh my! We indulged in daily treatments, from massages to facials. The therapists were skilled and the products were top-notch. Even though we went to the spa everyday, we also found time to explore the surroundings.
Honeymoons in General
It’s important to find a spa hotel and resort in the perfect location. You want to be able to do more than just spa treatments. That is why we chose Oahu, as it has many activities to do and a wonderful nature. Think about and discuss with your partner where you really want to go on your honeymoon. Maybe a tropical paradise like the one we went to is right for you guys. There are plenty of top rated spa hotels and resorts all over the world and i’m sure you will find the right one!
Many spa hotels have a bit of an unofficial code of conduct. The most common is that you are not allowed to speak loudly and even have to whisper. Take the opportunity to read my blog friend Daniel’s post on spa etiquette and you risk not creating an embarrassing situation right on site.
